Works carried out for McGregor Architectural Services. Alteration and refurbishment of consulting and processing room within Breast Screening Clinic at Luton & Dunstable Hospital. The works comprised of alteration and refurbishment to mammography rooms, consulting offices, ultrasound, X-ray rooms and general waiting areas.

Works included new partitions, joinery, floor coverings, installation of new clinical base/wall units and worktops, provision of new aluminium windows set in new openings with decorations throughout.

Electrical works involved upgrade of power, lighting and provision of new supplies to X-ray equipment.

Mechanical installation included new air conditioning units to various rooms, new clinical wash hand basins set within new pre-finished ducting , provision of new water heaters and heating upgrade.

The most challenging aspects to this contract are that of undertaking the works within a fully operational clinical environment and achieving the phased handovers.

This was achieved with good quality site supervision with contract management back up closely liaising on a day to day basis with the Breast Screening Clinic staff and achieving programme with minimal disruption to the running of the clinic.
